Jazz Fest trip number eight was another 14-day extravaganza. History will note it as the festival's 50th edition, which was enormously successful and extremely well done. Once it got started. However, history will also note a couple of bumps in the road on the way to the Fair Grounds.
We were thrilled that our friend Rachel from the UK chose to visit New Orleans this year, and it was great to have her company here and there. There was also the usual great food, absolutely incredible music, the wonderful people and overall vibe of New Orleans, and some of that New Orleans precipitation, the kind that just doesn't know how to control itself, on a couple of days.
